Are keepsakes safe for children?
Our memory friends are comforting keepsakes, NOT toys. They feature secure safety eyes suitable for gentle cuddling. We recommend supervising for children under 3 due to small parts. That's my Bear is not responsible for the misuse of any keepsake once received by the customer.
How long will it take you to make my keepsake?
We'll get to work as soon as your clothing arrives! Once we receive your garments, our current crafting time is about 2–3 weeks to lovingly create your custom teddy bear.
What clothes works best?
- Best choices: Cotton, cotton-blend shirts, pants, and dresses
- Also great: Lightweight fleece, flannel, denim, and pajamas
How much clothing do I need?
A single adult-sized shirt is usually perfect for one memory keepsake. If you are sending baby, child, or smaller-sized clothing, we will need a few more pieces to complete the bear. Don't worry if you run short—we can always add a beautiful, complementary fabric to make sure your keepsake turns out perfectly.
How should I prepare my fabric?
Please make sure your items are clean, dry, and neatly folded before sending them our way. Be sure to remove any hard objects or bulky accessories. Don't worry about mixing and matching different garments—combining various fabrics is completely fine and actually creates a beautiful, uniquely meaningful look!
Do you return left over materials?
I always make sure to return any uncut clothing and larger fabric scraps just in case you want to make another small keepsake in the future! However, if you would prefer me to keep or discard them instead, just let me know—whatever works best for you is completely fine!
How do I clean my keepsake?
To keep your memory bear beautiful, please spot clean it only. Just use a damp cloth with a little bit of mild soap. Please keep your bear out of the washing machine and dryer to protect the delicate fabrics!
Do I need to pay deposit?
To get started on your beautiful keepsake, we require full payment at checkout. Once payment is complete, your order is secured, and we will be ready to begin crafting as soon as your clothing arrives!
Do you offer refunds?
Because each keepsake is lovingly handcrafted and custom-made just for you, we are unable to offer full refunds. Every piece is completely unique, so we appreciate your understanding.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we only ship within Canada. We hope to expand to international shipping in the future!
